Montageanleitung

We stand behind everything we make, including our wetsuits. But wetsuits require care if they are going to perform and wear the way they were intended. Giant Fish is not responsible for wetsuits that are abused or show normal wear and tear over time. Scratches and fading are inevitable, as are tears from the occasional close call with a rudder.

toasty and comfy

The biggest barrier to enjoyable paddling is often seated comfort. I've tried most of the neoprene paddling pants on the market, and even had a custom pair made a few years ago. But the Downwind Thermal pants are in their own league! The fit and comfort are superb, to the extent that you forget that you're (frequently) sitting in a pool of cool or cold water. These 3mm pants will be my go-to apparel for about 6 months of the year.

So warm!

Got the chance to try out some of the early samples and have been, frankly, wearing nothing else since. Super comfy, no chafing, fits like a glove, and each piece (shorts, 1.5, 3m) is perfect for what you want it for.

Every now and again I make a mistake and try some of what I was using before... not wise. 3mil pants are so much warmer then any other brand I've used- and I've tried a few!

Biggest problem is pulling on the wet gear from yesterday's paddle since I don't give them a chance to dry out (did I mention 50+ paddles and the kit still looks great?).

Love these pants!

My new Downwind Thermal pants are dreamy! They keep me warm and cozy when chilly Gorge waves fill my cockpit. They fit comfortably and don’t chafe. Their smooth surface makes for easy rotation. They are definitely a valuable addition to my paddling experience. Love these!

Comfort and warmth so we focus paddling

First winter with the thermal pants, after doing last winter with the regular pants; I was missing out! The extra thickness adds more comfort and even in near-freezing temperatures my legs stayed warm. The main benefit is that my willpower went into the blade in the water, instead of mentally combating almost-cold legs. One after another, great product!

Durable and comfortable

Scott has put a lot of hard work and effort in designing his line of paddling wear. I have a pair of the 3 mm pants. The Gorge, where we paddle year around, has been the testing ground for development. With feedback from a wide range of paddlers Scott has designed a purpose built, comfortable and durable product. I’ve used the 3 mm pant extensively in a wide range of temperature conditions and could not be happier with the fit and performance. Unlike other designs the pants are designed with the paddler actually being in the paddling position. There is no sagging, rubbing or uncomfortable folds. This allows a glove-like fit that improves warmth in colder conditions. I’ve actually used these pants in the summer and also find them quite cool and comfortable once they are wet! The high back and close fit keeps the waves that sneak up from behind from going down your backside. A must for colder water paddling. The Yamamoto neoprene is quite stretchy and they are easy to get on and off compared to older neoprene wet-wear. The construction is very robust with over 6 months of paddling, they are holding up very well. If you’re looking for a quality well built product designed by paddlers for paddlers, you can’t go wrong with this collection!

Thanks for the kind words Van! Glad you are enjoying the pants and the summer paddling season.
