 HOW TO WEAR

The perfect foundation for cool-to-cold water paddling. 3.0mm pants keep you warm and dry while seated in cold water with continuous one-piece coverage to a 1.0mm vest.

Combine with base layers under the vest for added insulation, and complete the kit with an outer layer for protection from the elements.

We have enjoyed adding the Giant Fish Paddle Wool as an insulating base layer with the Giant Fish Wind Shirt as a flexible shell to protect you from wind and spray.

If you need more immersion and thermal protection, go with the Giant Fish 1mm neoprene Race Top for a magical combination.

*Height and weight are usually the best size predictor. Consider buying the next largest size if you're on the upper end of height or weight.

Fitting guide

We stand behind everything we make, including our wetsuits. But wetsuits require care if they are going to perform and wear the way they were intended. Giant Fish is not responsible for wetsuits that are abused or show normal wear and tear over time. Scratches and fading are inevitable, as are tears from the occasional close call with a rudder.

Good fit

So far I am very happy with my bibtights. I ordered large tall and they are quite snug (6'2" 205 lbs). They have plenty of length for me (that has been a problem in the past with my proportional long legs - inseam 34" ). The material is very stretchy, so the snugness just requires a bit of patient tug/ooch upping to get everything in the right place. Rashguards worn underneath usually have to be readjusted to get back into place. But I do not mind because these are very comfortable and work very well in reducing flow through. If I need a little better immersion protection for the upper I add some kind of top - thickness depending on the conditions.

Pro Bibtights +1mm Race Top

Pro Bibtights and a race top is Fantastic combo for cold water big conditions. Paddled laps today at our local windsport spot where waves are stacked up by a big current eddy. Wind 20-25 knots, water temp 11 degrees Celsius, air temp 15 C.

Greg your combo of BibTights and 1mm Top was our go to combination last winter.
Great immersion protection with the freedom to move with out overheating.
There is no substitute when you are paddling in cold water like you do year round, must dress for immersion.

Immersion tested in April in the Gorge, safe and warm

Just did the first downwind of the season, April 15th, on the Gorge. Wore the brand new bib tights with the 1mm neoprene top, and it was amazing. A gust caught me by surprise early and got wet with an hour to go; well, the outside layer of my gear got wet, but not me. Nothing wet creeping in from the waist; I truly think after the immersion I stated completely dry since the bibs cover beyond the floating line (with PFD); such a great design. With another surprise swimming session half way, I wondered if I would get start getting cold… I stayed warm enough. Perhaps the thermal top with the bib tights would have been even better for top comfort this early in the downwind season. Writing about the bib tights also made me realize I experienced no cold-water-to-the-waist moment when a side wave makes it to the cockpit, man that always got me distracted so I'm happy we now how a solution for that too.
This is a beautiful, well-designed and super-comfortable essential kit for any serious winter paddler.
